Did you know that up to 40% of older adult falls have alcohol in their system when they present for a severe injury from a fall. Alcohol is not about addiction in many cases and so the harms that can happen while enjoying if never accounted for can be life altering to our older adults. Come learn about the topic and a study that linked some social and medical problem data with the falls and alcohol. Attendees will walk away not only more knowledgeable but with action steps they can consider in how they serve older adults and falls.
